AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME

Homeless Dogs Will Benefit every time Michael Vick is tackled.

FTA:

According to Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Daily News, Main Line Animal Rescue is buying ad space in newspapers in the cities to which Vick will travel during the NFL season, pledging to donate five bags of dog food to a local animal shelter every time someone tackles Vick. They’re also asking people to volunteer at local shelters on Vick game days.

Overwrought with righteous awesomitude.

My head asplode.

The latest round of security vulnerabilities has me a bit spooked, especially since I really hate the admin aspect of this software (and am in no bloody position to be paying for upgrades.)

So I’m trying to decide whether to convert this site to a blosxom based one (pyblosxom perhaps) or whether to finally, after 10 years of whining like a banned WoW gamer, rolling my own.

I don’t really post “from anywhere” in a way that requires editing tools to be tied up with the rendering engine, much less the presenter.

The trick would be to modify a minimum number of files in a flat layout every time there’s a new post, to minimize the posting bandwidth. Not that I’m exactly melting the copper with my throughput requirements, but I’d rather not be gross about usage (i.e. re-upload the whole site on every post.)

Plus, it would give me another excuse to wedge some wiki stuff in here again.

So tonight That One was giving a rambling speech about the government health care takeover when South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson called him out as a liar.

Did he break decorum? Damn right he did.

But that’s not what’s interesting about the last few hours. What IS interesting about the last few hours is the absolute frothing at the mouth from the left. I spent an hour on twitter with swords drawn, wading my way through scumbags who uttered nary a peep in response to all the “terrorist”, “brownshirt”, “nazi”, “hired thug” conversation coming from the upper echelon of the Democratic Party over the last few months. These are the people who cheered when GW Bush had a shoe thrown at him. And you can bet your ASS they had nothing to say about the heckling and booing of Bush for two terms.

So again it’s the rude complaining of decorum, the hypocrites complaining of hypocrisy. Do they really have no other tactic than to accuse others of their own faults? Maybe it’s really all they’ve got. The facts certainly aren’t on their side. They can’t defend their own ideas because their ideas aren’t defensible. All they can do is attack opposition.

The unrepentant absurd hubris of the left continues as they lecture conservatives on decorum and right conduct as if anyone on the left gave the slightest shit about any of it past the end of their own expedience.

Fortunately it’s becoming more and more clear to more and more people that the words of the democrats have nothing to do with the actions or the reality of the democrats.

Even my favorite author from the left, Camile Paglia, is starting to see this disparity in her latest piece. But then that’s not really fair as she just might be the only intelligent and honest liberal writer out there.

But this behavior of hiding behind decorum when it suits them can not be allowed. It’s tantamount to children running to mom and yelling “BASE”. It’s for that reason that I absolutely support Joe Wilson’s action tonight.
