Hedging

So That One just came on and announced his economic team and babbled a bit about economic conditions.

This man is not going to be a leader.  He’s going to do what he did today, continually hedge against making a strong stand or making a decision himself on anything of note without it being backed by armies of advisors.

He’s so terrified of culpability in the event of a fuck-up that might make him look bad.

People who are looking for someone to tell them what to do will always find willing volunteers.

After all, that’s how he got in to office to begin with.

Uh, how about he’s getting the best advisors, as opposed to hiring all of his best friends?

Cause ya know, Bush did so great on his own.

Nah, I’m not really talking about who it is that he picked. It’s no mystery that I’m likely going to disagree with all of his appointments. But he’s not exhibiting any strength of character. He’s just spending his energy on being a mouthpiece for the ‘grand council’ he’s forming.

Hopefully it’s because he’s exhibiting deference to the fact that he’s not in office yet. But I think it’s far more likely that with his perfect lack of executive experience that he doesn’t know the difference between leading and speaking.

Besides, Bush has been doing an awful lot better than the BDS infused left gives him credit for.
