Interestingly, just today, the lumber industry is jumping up and saying "hey, wait a minute. Our industry is in the dumper through no fault of our own ( the 22% exchange is killing them all over again). How come you're talking about bailing out the Big 3 who are to a great extent responsible for their own downfall while again leaving us twisting in the wind?"

If I remember correctly, there are as many jobs in Forestry in Canada as there are in the auto industry - just spread more broadly across the country.
